That time Tom Brevoort, the Senior VP of Publishing at Marvel Comics, assured me that it was okay to be a new comic fan whose introduction to comics was from the movies—and declared me to be a Fearless Front-Facer! I ain’t even ashamed to admit I’m feeling gleeful. Never again will I let elitist, condescending, rude comic nerds try to call me a “fake” Marvel fan.
